Adult ADHD care in Queensland: GP prescribing, shared care support and assessments
Queensland is the first state to allow eligible GPs to diagnose and prescribe for adults with ADHD, which is already reshaping how care is delivered in general practice
This service is designed to sit alongside those changes by providing structured adult ADHD assessments, clear reports and ongoing mental health nursing support that plug directly into GP led prescribing

Why Choose Us?
Practical ADHD assessments and mental health nursing support that fit neatly into busy GP workflows, not around them.
.

Experienced Nurses
Registered mental health nurses with years of adult ADHD and complex mental health experience provide thorough, guideline-informed assessment.

Collaboration with GPs
Reduces wait times for adult ADHD assessment by offering structured, nurse led workups ready for GP review.
Supports safer prescribing through clear reports, guideline aligned screening and ongoing monitoring of response and side effects
Frees up GP time by outsourcing history gathering, scales and collateral while keeping prescribing and overall care with the GP

What to expect from the assessment
- 2 - 3 appointments. Initial screen about 30 mins, then one or two hour long assessments.
- We will review your questionnaires, history and all other information before the GP appointment, so your time with the GP is focused and efficient.
- You will receive a clear, written summary that will also be forwarded to your GP for diagnosis, prescribing and ongoing care.

Personalised Support
After the assessment, some people want more than a report. Extra support services can include short-term coaching around routines and organisation, and practical strategies for work, study and home.
